WHAT IS A V ENDORSEMENT?
A V licence endorsement allows you to operate a towing service vehicle for hire or reward, for example, a tow truck driver, car transporter driver or any type of vehicle recovery.
The V Endorsement can run from 1-5 years and must be renewed if you want to continue working as a Vehicle Recovery driver.
HOW TO GET YOUR V LICENSE ENDORSEMENT
We provide local Otago training to help get your tow truck license (properly called a Vehicle Recovery Endorsement – or a V Endorsement) for both company groups or individuals. We take you through all the training and assessment you need to get this license endorsement.

NOTE: A “Fit and Proper Person” vetting check for safety is done by NZTA prior to granting the V Endorsement. Once you have successfully passed the course and the Fit and Proper Person check, your V Endorsement will be granted by NZTA
