We provide local Otago on-site training to get your forklift license for individuals and companies. Learn to drive a forklift safely and confidently in the workplace.
OSH/WORKSAFE FORKLIFT TRAINING COURSE
To qualify for enrollment in our OSH/Worksafe Training, the following criteria must be met:
Requirements for the course:
- Proficiency in English to successfully complete the written theory component (If not proficient, please notify our office to explore potential assistance).
The course curriculum will address the following topics:
- Core theory of forklift operating
- Basic driving competence in a generic forklift in a generic environment
- Safety regulations and procedures
All necessary course materials are included in our prices and will be provided at the time of booking.
Please note: This course is not an F Endorsement. If you plan to operate a forklift in a public place that has public access, you will need to undertake F Endorsement training and have the extra certification added to your license.
Once achieved, this certificate expires every 3 years, and a refresher course is required to renew it.
F ENDORSEMENT TRAINING (OPTIONAL)
To qualify for enrolment in our F Endorsement Training, the following criteria must be met:
Requirements for the course:
– Possession of a valid Full NZ Class One (car) license.
– Proficiency in English to successfully complete the written theory component (If not proficient, please notify our office to explore potential assistance).
– Forklift Operator Certification and F Endorsement, which encompasses:
– Unit Standard 10851: Operating a powered industrial forklift with Forks (within a restricted, non-public area, e.g., Factory Unit or Fenced work yard).
– Unit Standard 18496: Demonstrating knowledge and skills for driving a forklift on the road for F. Endorsement.
F ENDORSEMENT COURSE CONTENT
The course curriculum will address the following topics:
- Pre-vehicle safety checks
- Stacking and de-stacking procedures
- Safe operation of the forklift and associated equipment
- Refuelling protocols
- Parking and storage guidelines
- All necessary course materials are included in our prices and will be provided at the time of booking.
Please note: If you have not earned an F Endorsement and had it added to your license, you are not legally allowed to drive a forklift in a public place that has public access, such as a road.

F Endorsement training covers study, theory and assessment of NZQA Unit Standard 18496: “Demonstrate knowledge and skills for driving a forklift on a road”
