WHAT THE COURSE GIVES YOU
Certification to obtain a license that allows you to operate a special-type vehicle on the road. After successfully passing the course, trainees will be credited with Unit Standard to their NZQA Record of Learning in addition to receiving the course certificate.
COURSE CONTENT
This course consists of a 2-3 hour long training session that will provide you with the knowledge and skill required to operate a special-type vehicle on the road.

WHEELS (W) ENDORSEMENT
This endorsement is for special-type vehicles that run on wheels that aren’t forklifts, passenger vehicles, tractors, fire engines, trade vehicles or vehicle recovery service vehicles.
ROLLERS (R) ENDORSEMENT
Suitable for vehicles on rollers.
TRACKS (T) ENDORSEMENT
Suitable for vehicles on self-laying tracks

16701 - Demonstrates knowledge and skills for driving on a road for Endorsement W (Wheels)
16702 - Demonstrates knowledge and skills for driving on a road for Endorsement R (Rollers)
16703 - Demonstrates knowledge and skills for driving on a road for Endorsement T (Tracks)
SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF YOUR COURSE
Upon successful completion of the course, present your course certificate provided by Central Lakes Licensing to a licensing agent (AA or VTNZ) to have your endorsements added to your licence. You must present this within 60 days or you will have to pay for and re-sit the course again.
NOTE: You can’t operate special-type vehicles until the endorsement/s have been added to your licence.
