Truck License

Are you ready to get on the road and become a professional truck driver? Truck driving is an exciting career that literally takes you places. No day is the same, and you’ll be a vital link in the supply chain that transports the essential goods that NZ needs.

Central Lakes Licensing provides professional Otago based truck driver training courses for all classes of heavy vehicles – Class 2, Class 4 and Class 5.

Training is available for both individuals and companies.

We help progress your driving career with local Otago truck driver training for each type of truck license.

CLASS 2

License to operate a heavy rigid vehicle with a gross laden weight (GLW) of between 6,000kg to 18,000kg or combination vehicle with a gross combination weight (GCW) of 12,000kg or less.

CLASS 4

License to operate a Heavy Rigid Vehicle with a Gross Laden Weight (GLW) of over 18,000kg.

CLASS 5

License to operate a Heavy Combination Vehicle with a Gross Combination Weight (GCW) of more than 25,000 Kg.

HOW TO GET YOUR TRUCK LICENSE IN OTAGO

Start locally right here in Otago with us! Choose which truck driver training course you want your truck license for and we’ll show you how to safely drive and operate that class of vehicle.

As part of each course, we also teach the NZQA Unit Standards for that particular truck license, and we do all the assessments for the course. Once you’ve successfully completed the course, you can then apply to have the endorsement added to your Drivers License.
